J.Lo’s Taking Her Sweet Time Planning Her Wedding
…and we don’t blame her! Back in March, the three-time divorcee got engaged to her partner of almost two years, Alex Rodriguez. Most celebrities, as well as couples who were married at our wedding venue in South Florida, have rushed to the altar, eager for their dream wedding. Lopez discussed wedding plans with Entertainment Tonight stating that she and A-Rod are in no rush to walk down the aisle, amidst her busy schedule.1
When asked about the status of her wedding plans, J.Lo replied:
“It’s going good […] I think we have a pretty busy year ahead of us, so you know, we are [taking it slow].
“There’s no rush,” she stated. “We really see this as something that’s gonna be forever, and we’re gonna just take our time and do it right. And do it not rushed.”
However, Lopez has been casually “looking at everything” such as dresses and wedding venues since Rodriguez asked for her hand in marriage, but “only when I have time. Most of the time, I’m working.”
Earlier this year, Lopez finished filming Hustlers and is now preparing for the start of her It’s My Party tour beginning June 7. To add to her list of festivities, she’ll be celebrating her 50th birthday in July, and she’s expecting it to be “super celebratory.”
Stress-Free Wedding Planning
Of course, some of us can’t live the lavish life of J.Lo, but we can all take time to manage stress while planning a wedding. Battle wedding planning stress by drinking and eating the right things to keep a positive mindset throughout the process. The following are nutritious drinks and snacks to help maintain your sanity while planning out the big day:
Whether it be purified, spring, alkaline, or mineral water, staying hydrated through the chaos can help you avoid toxins. In addition to drinking “regular” water, try out an infused water to combat wedding planning stress. Include blends such as fresh fruit and herbs to keep you alert and energized.
Any form of dark chocolate, whether it be dark chocolate squares or chocolate-covered almonds, provide the antioxidants and cacao vitamins that are jam-packed with healthy fats.
Get in as much Omega-3 as you can by eating wild salmon and nuts to keep your emotional well-being revved up from the start to the end of your wedding planning.
