5 Things You Need to Know About the Arnold Palmer Invitational

It feels like just yesterday that the sport of golf lost one of it’s greatest players; Arnold Palmer. But instead of mourning his absence, we celebrate his life every year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. For those who don’t know much about it, this is our guide, the top 5 things you need to know about the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

  1. Tickets

The event takes place every year in March and this year the event will begin on Thursday, March 15th and end on Sunday, March 18th. You can purchase tickets for the Arnold Palmer Invitational here.

Proceeds from some of the sales go to Arnie’s Army, a charity organization set up by Palmer.

  1. It’s Been Around for Ages!

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is not a new challenge. It is legendary. The first Invitational was in March 1966, 52 years ago this month!

  1. Location, Location, Location

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is played in our own backyard, the Bay Hill Club & Lodge. It has been played there every year since 1979 and will continue to be played there for the foreseeable future.

Bay Hill is one of many fine Florida golf courses that Deer Creek Golf Club is happy to share the Florida sunshine with!

  1. Big Names Big Plays

Every year, the Arnold Palmer Invitational hosts some of the best golfers in the world. This year, Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler join the rosters as well as Tiger Woods. Coming back after a career threatening back injury, Tiger seems to be back in full swing and charging ahead with his apparent golf come back.

We are excited to see him at the invitational this year!

  1. Food, Drinks, Wine & Dine

There are tickets on sale for a wine and dine event during the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The wine and dine event is on Friday night.

Of course, the Bay Hill Club & Lodge offers the finest beverages including the Arnold Palmer.
