Take Your Date to the Golf Course

Dec 8, 2014

Looking for a twist on your typical date? Why not try something a little out of the box? Skip dinner, skip the movies, and definitely skip a night drinking and use your day in a more productive way with your date. Our suggestion: spend a romantic day at the golf course! While some people might not see the romance and underlying importance of golfing, it is a relaxing way to spend an afternoon that can also reveal a lot about a person, such as:

How they handle pressure. Golf is not an easy game, which is why people dedicate their lives trying to master it. How a person handles a ball going into the woods or missing a few strokes will likely be indicative of how they handle other situations that do not go their way.

How they handle success. A hole in one (or two, or three) is a great achievement. How your date handles their successes on the golf course can offer insight into how they act when things are a win in the real world too. Are they excited and happy, or are they gloating and putting down the other players?

How they adapt to unfamiliar situations. This is especially true for people who do not golf. Seeing how they handle things they don’t know is important. Are they frustrated at what they don’t know, or do they welcome your advice and the insight of others?

While you can’t gauge an entire relationship by a game of golf, you can still takeaway some important traits and learn a little more about a person. See you and your date on the links!
