Preparing for the 2014 US Open

It’s almost that time—the 2014 US Open will be here next month, taking place June 12-15 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Pinehurst is ranked as the #2 golf course in the United States, and it’s an exciting time for golf lovers, golfers, and sponsors alike. If you don’t know much about the tournament, here’s some quick facts:

This year marks the 114th annual U.S. Open Tournament

Past champions are Justin Rose (2013), Webb Simpson (2012), Rory McIlroy (2011)

The U.S. Open is the one major tournament Phil Mickelson hasn’t won. He’s finished second on six occasions, including in 2013

This is the 3rd time in the past 15 years that Pinehurst has hosted the tournament
